What the job looks like from behind the wheel
Full truckload, dry van and temperature-controlled, between Canadian shippers and American receivers. One pickup, one delivery, and the highway in between.
You are not chasing a dozen stops a day. A typical run is a single load taken from a shipper to a consignee, which means the day is planned around driving hours and appointment times rather than around a route that keeps changing at noon. On temperature-controlled work the set point is agreed before you load, so there is no argument at the receiving door about what the trailer should have been running at.
Cross-border is normal here rather than exceptional. The PAPS or PARS number is with the broker before you get to the port of entry, so the paperwork side of the crossing is done before you arrive at the booth.

Requirements
What we need to see
These are the things a cross-border carrier is required to have on file for every driver. Nothing here is a formality invented to filter people out.
- Valid Class 1 licence (Class AZ in Ontario) for tractor-trailer operation
- A driver's abstract we can keep on file
- Documents that allow entry into the United States for cross-border runs
- Comfortable with electronic logs and hours-of-service rules
- Willing to make the check call before we have to make it to you
Pay, schedule and home time are discussed on the phone. They depend on the lanes you run and the experience you bring, and we would rather give you real numbers for real work than advertise a range we cannot honour on every lane.
