Privacy policy
How Odyssey Transport Corporation handles the information you send through this website. Short version: we use it to answer you, we do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form, and only the fields on that form:
- Quote requests: your name, company, email, phone, the pickup and delivery locations, equipment type, ready date, weight, temperature set point and anything you write in the message field.
- Driver and owner operator applications: your name, phone, email, the position and terminal you are interested in, licence class, years of experience, whether you can cross into the United States, and your message.
- Contact messages: your name, email, optional phone and company, the subject you pick and your message.
We do not ask for a date of birth, a licence number, a SIN or any payment details anywhere on this website. If a page ever asks you for those, it is not us.
Why we collect it
To answer you. A quote request is read by dispatch so they can price the lane and tell you whether the equipment is free. An application is read so we can call you about driving work. A contact message is read so someone can reply to it. That is the whole purpose.
We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not run marketing campaigns off these forms, and we do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
How it reaches us
Form submissions are sent by email to the Odyssey Transport team and are not stored in a public database on this website. If an email fails to send, the submission is written to a private log on the server so the enquiry is not lost, and that log is not reachable from the internet.
Spam protection
Every form on this site is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot. To do that, Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic browser information at the moment you submit. It does not receive the contents of your message. Cloudflare's own privacy terms cover that processing.
Analytics and cookies
This website sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party tracking or profiling. The only third-party request a normal visit makes is to Cloudflare, for the spam check described above. If website analytics are added later, this page will be updated before they go live.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and contact messages are kept for as long as they are useful to the business relationship — a lane you may run again, a conversation that is still open. Applications are kept on file so we can come back to you if suitable work appears. If you would rather we did not keep yours, say so and we will delete it.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@odysseytransport.ca and we will handle the request; if we need to verify who you are first, we will only ask for what is necessary to do that.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into a form is encrypted in transit. Access to the inbox that receives submissions is limited to the people who need to act on them. No system is perfect, and we will tell you honestly if something goes wrong that affects your information.
Changes to this policy
If how we handle information changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Material changes will not be applied retroactively to information you already sent us.
